Objective of work is the monitoring of the fluctuation and succession changes in the natural and artificial ecosystems taking place in calendar year, conservation of gene pools of the natural and artificial ecosystems. The elaboration of strategy on conservation of the unique steppe protected ecosystems functioning in conditions of intensive agrolandscape, formation of system of green building in a region with the artificial irrigation and when layingof the dendrological parks, zoos, zoological places, etc. The research methods are generally accepted in meteorology, soil science, the field geobotany, zoology and dendrology. Annual changes in structure of land using of the reserve, climate, hydrology, physicochemical properties of soils are described. The changes in structure of vascular flora of the core area, its actual capacity, results of nomenclatorial and taxonomic revision are presented. The geobotanical descriptions of background plant associations, the indices of density and seed productivity, the flowering plants, the results of geobotanical monitoring, the mapping, synphytoindicative and ordination analysis of model plots of the protected steppe are given. The data of current composition of the vertebrate fauna, populations and parasitologic status of animals of zoo "Askania Nova" are generalized. The data of rhythm of plant development in the protected steppe and Dendrological Park "Askania Nova", the native fauna and introducted animals in zoo are given. The results of biotechnical measures, the economical activity on the adjoining territories, research, ecology-educational and international activity of the reserve for 2010 are summarized. The results of researches are used in the reserve business, for conservation of rare species of animals and plants, in the ecological education, the excursion activity. The prognosis suppositions of development of the research object are the long-term chronological lines of information to reveal the short-term and irreversible changes of the biotic and abiotic factors, their directions.
