Purpose of research - the development of a seed growing system of "00"-varieties of rape and ensuring the production of the required number of high-quality seeds. Methods of research - individual-family selection, laboratory and analytical methods. In 2006-2010 the development of the system of production of high-quality "00" rapeseed variety that had been commenced earlier was finished. The system requires a three-year scheme of reproduction of elite seeds using new approaches in biochemical seed quality control on all stages of seed growing, self-pollination, new schemes of nursery plating. The research results have shown that this seed growing system is able to ensure the maintenance of rapeseed quality indicator at the appropriate sort level and help improve these indicators. As a result of conducted work 288.1 cwt of high-quality original seeds of 9 varieties of winter and spring "00"-type rape was produced. The indicators of glucosinolates content in the seeds of produced varieties in different areas of seed growing is within 6.9-19.4 mM/g. The cost of maintaining the supporting seed growing of "00"-varieties of rapeseed for a three-year scheme is by 41% cheaper than for the five-year scheme. The conducted research on desiccants and growth regulators application in winter rape seed sowing has shown that the seed treatment of rape variety Svyeta with the drug Roundup, where better productivity indicators were obtained during the previous research years, helps accelerate seed maturation (by 4-5 days) and ensure higher output of conditioned seeds by 3.0-4.6 cwt/ha in comparison with the control areas results (without the application of the drug). The net profit obtained with the usage of the drug Roundup is by 732 UAH/ha and the profitability is by 10% higher in comparison with the control.
