The new technology of reception and processing of 5 minutes MSG1 (Meteosat-8) satellite has been adopted for improving the monitoring of severe convective storms. The FTP server has been installed on PC in UkrNIGMI for improving the access of forecasting departments to operational satellite and RGB imageries. This research has a great significance - the improvement of forecasting methods and warning of severe weather based on different satellite information.
