In Ukraine, in its various regions, they occur with a frequency of 1: 400 to 1:700. Complications of wound healing after chiloplasty, palatoplasty and veloplastiki in the form of partial or complete dehiscence occur in the anterior region of the sky 10% -20%, on the border of hard and soft palate 50% -70%, the upper lip in 5% -15% of cases. Despite the emergence of new and improvement of old techniques of surgery complication rate remains at a high enough level. The purpose of this phase of the study was to study the biochemical blood indices and blood count to diagnose and predict possible complications in the postoperative period in children with congenital cleft lip and palate. We examined and operated on 37 patients with congenital cleft lip and palate. All children before surgical intervention took blood tests and use tests. As a result of the reduced phase of the study were identified. 1. Selected rates of biochemical blood tests and AST values for total blood count (eosinophils, monocytes) are important indicators in predicting the possible wound dehiscence in the postoperative period. 2. In the presence of high concentration of AST, eosinophilia, monocytosis, 80% of cases, we can predict the total or partial dehiscence in the postoperative period in children with cleft lip and palate. 3. Complications as dehiscence after surgery in our study was 18.9%.
