Purpose of the research: To improve the efficacy of combination treatment of the patients with ovarian cancer by means of optimizing the protocol of neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Methods of research: clinical, morphology, statistical. Results: Informativity of monitoring of neoadjuvant chemotherapy with tumor marker СА-125 during combination treatment of 36 patients with ovarian cancer. It was established that mean level of СА-125 depended on the stage of the disease and degree of the tumor deifferentiation and is significantly higher in patients with stage IV (T3cNxM1), with highly and significantly differentiated adenocarcinoma. Better effect of chemotherapy was observed at stage ІІІ (T3cNxM0), highly differentiated tumors as well as in patients who were administered chemotherapy with Cisplatin, Cyclophosphanum and Doxorubicin. It was determined that administration of Cisplatin caused pronounced changes in the ultrastructure of some cells of Guirein carcinoma. Novelty: For the first time, dependence of СА-125 level on the degree of the tumor differentiation was revealed. Degree of introduction: Abstracts were published. Area of application: oncology.
