Using modern molecular biology approaches it is shown that structure of lateral groups of 4-thiazolidones straightly influences not only on their biological activity but also on the specific signaling apoptosis pathways, which are induced by these compounds in tumor cells. This will allow to design new, "hybrid" compounds which could simultaneously induce several apoptotic pathways in tumor cells, thum overcomimg multidrug resitnace of cancer cells.
