It is shown that the process of catalytic steam reforming of ethanol (12 wt.% C2H5OH in water) to obtain hydrogen at the copper-tsirkoniyoksidnyh systems at low temperatures (250-300 oC) exhibit higher activity catalysts based on monoclinic zirconia. Benefits of tetragonal zirconia are to stabilize the nanoparticles of the active component and the intensification of surface oxidation reactions for the steam reforming of low-and medium-temperature region (300-550 oC). It is shown that all samples of copper-ceria/zirconia catalysts produced nearly identical particles deposited components, regardless of particle size and the specific surface carrier. Tests of this series of catalysts in the selective oxidation of CO in excess hydrogen showed that the most active were samples whose support had the lowest values of specific surface and the largest particles.
