Karazin popup.description2 The object of the study - populations of aquatic and land animals. The aim of the study - to identify the factors involved in formation of spatial, social and genetic structure of populations. The methods of the research: generally recognized methods of counts of ungulates, aquatic mammals and amphibians as well as methods of ornithological and hydrobiological research were applied. The literature review of domestic and foreign was prepared and own field data were processed to assess the intrapopulation and interpopulation diversity in behavioural strategies in territoriality, foraging, reproduction, dispersal and migration, the diversity of habitat relations, the diversity of genetically distinct groupings of individuals. The numbers of ungulate populations and the carrying capacity of forest habitats as foraging grounds were estimated for the territory of 'Gomilshansky Lysi' national park. The principal role of edge effect in habitat distribution of roe deer was confirmed. The factors which negatively affect the numbers and distribution of European otter in Ukraine were identified. The main threat for the species is persecution by man. The classification scheme for the assessment of vulnerability of Ukrainian breeding bird species to climatic changes was developed. Trophic niche and foraging strategy, preferred habitat, migration strategy and winter range, range fragmentation and trends in number changes were found to be contributing significantly to the level of species vulnerability. The variability of individual behavioural strategies was studied in Whinchat and Common Stonechat. The study of intrapopulation differences in territorial and social behaviour of juvenile birds may be useful for the practice of rare species protection, for forecasting the processes of expansion of alien species, for the assessment of the level of tolerance of the populations of certain species to different impact factors including anthropogenic load. The results of the study of ecological traits of water frogs (Pelophylax esculentus complex) in habitats of upper reaches of Seversky Donets river are presented. The centre of diversity of water frogs was discovered where both diploid and triploid Pelophylax esculentus were found. The environmental rules in the distribution of the representatives of this complex were revealed as well as differences in habitat preferences. The principal role of the type of land habitat in distribution of P. esculentus and P. lessonae was substantiated. The study of zooplankton of Udy river was accomplished. The species composition of the community and the pattern of distribution were identified. The analysis of the retrospective data set evidenced that the general pattern of distribution of zooplankton communities on different sites of Udy river remained intact. The environmental state of Udy river was assessed on the base of zooplankton data. Product Description popup.authors Банік М. Колесник А. Коршунов О. Скоробогатов Є. popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
