The methods for the production of ferrite nanoparticles have been analyzed. Crystalline and magnetic properties of ferrite nanoparticles prepared by threenuclei carboacetate decomposition have been carried out. The overview of materials on thorium nuclear cycle as well as overview on nuclear-physical characteristics of thorium, thorium-uranium and thorium-plutonium compounds has been carried out. The experimental study of the magnetic properties of nuclear fuel has been conducted. It was shown a possibility of magnetic separation for the processing of exhaust nuclear fuel and for the radionuclide decontamination. The existent magnetic fields concentration systems for magnetic separation and magnetic filtration were analyzed for their application in nuclear energetics.
