The research goal is to develop new models for determination of the carrying capacity of elements of think-wall shell-rod structures of aerial feeders, oil-gas reservoirs, tower installations for industrial use, having different operational and technological failures, and to determine the carrying capacity of specific structures of modern technology. The research methods are methods of solid mechanics, statics and dynamics of thin-wall structures, methods of structural mechanics, computational mathematics, and experimental methods. The results obtained: the results of investigations of influence of different operational and technological failures on the carrying capacity of structures of aerial feeders, oil-gas industry, tower installations for industrial use are presented. New techniques, algorithms and software are developed to determine the carrying capacity of circular structural elements considering residual stresses - RING 05539962.00265-01; to determine the stressed state of the walls of vertical storage tanks for petroleum products, taking into account imperfections of forms - RESERVOIR 05539962.00266-01;to determine the carrying capacity of structures of horizontal reservoirs for storage of petroleum products considering thinning walls due to corrosion wear- TANK 05539962.00273-01. The effects of the loading history on the critical efforts and special features of a supercritical behavior of reinforcing rod elements in the presence of various imperfections are studied. It is shown that the loading history (configuration of the loading curves) affects their carrying capacity. A projection-iteration version of the method of finite elements (MFE) is realized to solve problems of stressed-strained states of plates with circular and triangle holes. The efficiency of this method is shown to solve problems of the theory of elasticity for piecewise inhomogeneous plates with holes in comparison with MFE in terms of reducing computational cost. Schemes taking account the plastic properties of material are proposed using a projection-iteration version of MFE for rectangular and circular holes. Based on developed techniques, algorithms and software, deformation and the carrying capacity of elements of thin-wall shell-rod structures considering operational and technological failures are studied. The results determining the extent of failure effects on the carrying capacity of structures are obtained.
