The purpose of the work is to design and to develop mathematical models and methods to study dynamics and determination of the basic laws of motion of advanced multi-element space systems. The methods of analytical and theoretical mechanics, space flight mechanics, the elasticity theory, the perturbation theory, the study of differential equations with periodic coefficients, experimental studies, mathematical and computer simulation are used. A new criterion for selecting dynamic equivalence parameters of the mechanical equivalent of an extended peripheral element of the spacecraft is formulated. New models are proposed and methods for studying the motion of space systems, structural elements of which are characterized by high elastic deformations, such as space power systems, are developed. The original way of the attitude control of space objects, having rotary film surface is proposed. A model of the dynamics of the satellite with a tethered system of the gravitational stabilization is built. Regularities of motion of spacecraft with a gravitational stabilization system in the stabilization mode are revealed considering changes in an aerodynamic moment. It is shown that the variability of the atmospheric density can have a significant impact on the accuracy of the spacecraft stabilization. Methods for modeling the dynamics of ground-based laboratory tethered system for studying the process of stabilization of end-body space tethered system using a special mount device are developed. The obtained results can be effectively used to study the motion of spacecraft with peripheral distributed-mass elements and space extended tethered systems and to design the spacecraft control systems.. The proposed dynamical model and research methods and techniques for determining parameters is of important for the development of the Ukraine's space long-term projects. The research results are used in the Yuzhnoye Design Bureau for development of advanced spacecraft.
