In the frames of the project a complex study of optical and phonon spectra, charge carrier dynamics, photoluminescence and electroluminescence of ultra-small (2-5 nm) chalcogenide nanocrystals prepared by colloidal chemistry methods will be fulfilled. Metal-chalcogenide nanocrystals have good perspectives of utilization in luminescent biodiagnostics. Densely packed films of ultra-small nanocrystals of cadmium and zinc chalcogenides will be tested as light-emitting components of electroluminescent devices.
