Methods: field, laboratory, statistical, calculations. As a result of breeding work, a new variety of garden onion Perlyna was created. Variety of garden onion Perlyna is mid-season, semihot. By productivity it exceeds the standard for 28-51%, by storability for 2,2%, has high taste characteristics. The variety is suitable for mechanized technologies of cultivation. It is recommended for consumption fresh and for processing. Annual economic effect of using a new variety Perlyna is 34 300 UAH / ha. Scope: private sector, farmers and agricultural enterprises of different forms of ownership in the area of Forest steppe and Woodlands of Ukraine. Areas of use: vegetable growing.
