The purpose of the study - to develop new and to improve existing methods of definition of the maximum storm-water discharge and time of the stormwater concentration, and also calculation of regulating volume of the one-sectional and two-sectional storm-water storage tanks (SWST). The research method is complex method of investigation, which includes the analysis and generalization of known results of researches, a method of mathematical modeling, a method of the numerical treatment of the nonlinear differential equations and an experimental method of research. There are developed new and improved existing methods of hydraulic calculation of storm-water sewerage networks and constructions, designed for detention, regulation, clearing, and re-use of the storm-water, which are scientific underlying for improvement of respective designing methods. In the developed techniques all significant factors which influence stormwater inflow hydrographs and regulating volume of the SWST are considered. Among these factors there are the rainfall characteristics, the configuration and height sheeme of the watershed, design parameters of the SWST and of the inflow and outflow devices. Results of the investigation are introduced in educational process of the Lviv Polytechnic National University at teaching of disciplines: "Sewerage networks and constructions" and "Storm-water sewerage". Look-ahead assumptions concerning development of the object of research - combination of retention, detention with the exfiltrational method of the storm-water management.
