Obtained data were processed and used in order to investigate the morphology of the cometary coma as well as estimate a rotation period of the cometary nucleus. A method of cross correlation was applied to analyze the angular displacements of weak-contrast features in the cometary coma. This approach, which is independent of external parameters, allowed estimating the rotation period of the cometary nucleus. The only one what is important to take into account applying the method it is to select and investigate the same features in all images used, which were obtained during an observation set. This was done with by means of technique of simultaneous detection for all images that were processed and used in this work. The images obtained in 2008 revealed two jets and three jet-like structures were found on the images obtained in 2009. The rotation periods of 12.1±1.2 days and 11.7±1.5 days were estimated from first (December 2008) and second (February 2009) observation sets respectively. The periods are in agreements and some scatter between them is accounted for the observational errors. Such close magnitudes for the rotation periods obtained from two different data sets point out that the applied method is accurate enough and, therefore, can be used for estimation of the rotation periods of other comets.
