The research will be held in scope of World Data System activities, in which the participants of the project take an active part. The models content is coming out from the concept of sustainable development of society that is simultaneously treated from 2 sides: anthropocentric (from the point of view of living and working conditions) and nature-centric (from the point of view of conditions of nature preservation and restoration). Initial materials for the researches will be a combination of cartographic, aerospace and text data. Multitude of initial characteristics, indices and indicators will be represented as both adaptation of world-famous ones and some author's developments, that reflect special features of economic living and working conditions of Russian and Ukrainian population. These indicators, in a complex will give an opportunity of spatial analysis and assessment of social and economic situation of Russia and Ukraine. The aim of the project is the development of system of fundamental approaches and principles of construction of integral indicators of territories' sustainable development.
