Frantsevich Institute for Problems of Materials Science of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 Technological conditions for a chemical modification of organic raw materials of vegetable nature in acidic and alkaline media are established. The influence of the modification of the initial raw material on the specific capacity of the obtained carbon material is investigated. The effect of heating rate during carbonization on the capacity parameters of carbon materials from organic raw materials is researched. The optimum technological conditions for synthesis of carbon materials from different vegetable raw materials are established. It is found that among the materials under investigation the carbon material from corn stigmas has the highest specific capacity (above 250 F/g). By using the methods of chronoamperometry and voltamperometry it is established that the electrodes based on carbon materials from organic raw materials of vegetable nature in an aqueous alkaline electrolyte are close to ideally polarizable ones. On the basis of the carbon materials obtained from vegetable raw materials 2325-sized supercapacitors are developed and manufactured and their main parameters are tested.
