It was determined that IVUS is better in respect of quantitative and qualitative plaque characteristic detection. On the second phase results of coronary stenting with IVUS or only CAG control was compared. Restenosis rate in CAG-controlled group was elevated in comparison with IVUS-controlled group. In addition, anatomical and physiological significance of same stenoses was correlated. It was proved that morphological and functional significance don't coincide completely, but indication for coronary stenting based on fractional flow reserve data don't impair treatment results.
