Aim - to establish the relationship between the microelectrochemical, microstructural and micromechanical heterogeneity of welded joints of low-carbon and low alloy steels and localization of their corrosion-mechanical damages under static and cyclic loading in hydrogen sulfide-chloride solution. Research methods - corrosion-mechanical, corrosion-electrochemical, microelectrochemical and metallographic. It is established that fracture of welded joints of ferritic-pearlitic and pearlitic pipe steels in hydrogen sulfide solutions under static and cyclic stresses occurs mainly in the heat affected zone as a result of 3...4 fold increases under corrosion of its mikroelektrochemical heterogeneity, the intensification of localized corrosion and increase in-1.25 fold of the concentration of the diffusion mobility of hydrogen in comparison with the base metal. This concentration is practically unchanged under static stress, while under the cyclic stress it increases in 1.3 ... 1.5 times. It is established that the pores in the welds, the linear dimensions of which do not exceed the allowable values according to the requirements of ВСН 012-88, reduce the resistance to hydrogen sulfide stress corrosion cracking of welded joints by ~ 20%. Based on the obtained results the recommendations on the necessity to reduce the allowable level of defects in welds in pipelines during their maintenance in the field condition have been developed. The field of application - oil - and- gas production industry, petroleum refining industry.
