The problem for assessment of the characteristics of genetically modified plant organisms in Ukraine is the lack of unified schemes of studies, and standardized methods for the determination of genetically modified organisms, similar to those that exist in other countries. Нave studied the content of the main biologically active substances (protein, fiber, fat, ash, starch, sugar, cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin, amino acid and mineral composition), in these organisms, and a comparison of their chemical composition with the traditional counterparts. Our data confirm that the seed samples of soybean and corn varieties of domestic breeding contain more of protein and theirs amino acid composition is better balanced.
