Gryshko" National Botanical Garden of NAS of Ukraine) were carried out. The concentration levels, their diurnal and seasonal dynamics as well as episodes of ozone have been studied using the methods of active (instrumental) monitoring. The adverse effects of the troposphere (ground-level) ozone on the human health (index AOT 60) as well as on vegetation (index AOT40) were shown and quantitatively assessed in the conditions of urbanized environment in Kyiv city.
