Object of study: 336 patients, including 233 - with atherosclerotic lesions of the brain arteries (BA) and coronary heart disease (CHD), 103 - of atherosclerotic lesions BA without CHD. The control group - 55 healthy subjects. The purpose of research: on the basis of defining features of the restructuring of central and cerebral hemodynamics in patients with associated ischemic lesions of the brain and heart to develop new approaches to diagnosis and endovascular treatment of their tactics of using the latest means of endovascular interventions. Methods: Standard survey, physical data, neurologic status, biochemical blood tests, two-hour measurement of blood pressure (BP) and its daily monitoring, electrocardiography (ECG), including heart rate variability, echocardiography, cerebral angiography , computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, duplex scanning of brain vessels. Obtained results: Certain patterns of changes in the circulatory system in patients with associated ischemic brain damage and heart disease in different periods: at the stroke and chronic cerebrovascular accident. Surgery in these patients, determine the patient's neurological status, degree of vascular lesions, the presence of intravascular thrombus, but also concomitant diseases, their severity and the possibility of correction. Based on these results, a new method of prevention of acute cerebrovascular accident in patients with coronary artery disease with atherosclerotic lesions of arteries of the head was developed (Patent of Ukraine № 62256. Efficiency: The introduction into medical practice survey results will enable more effective treatment of patients with ischemic brain lesions, to conduct secondary prevention of stroke, significantly reduce the cost of inpatient care, will help to reduce disability and mortality of these patients.
