As the result of researches we determined the values of mechanical strength of the erasing of activated carbon adsorbents made in Germany, Ukraine and Russia, which it is intended to use in carbon filters of NPP ventilation system. The dependence of the mechanical strength on the SKT-3 fractional composition of carbon was studied. Recommendations on the using of activated carbons for adsorber filling during AU-1500 adsorber extensive repair. Taking into account the value of aerodynamic resistance and mechanical strength for erasing it was found that the most promising for use in the filters of NPP ventilation systems are carbons C40 / 4 Extra, C 45 / 2, D43 / 4 Extra, DGF2 produced in Germany and the activated carbon D-2 produced in Ukraine.
