Object of researches - electromagnetic processes and power parameters in semi-conductor multilevel converters of frequency of a medium voltage. The purpose of work - development of theoretical positions of creation of energetically effective asymmetric multilevel converters of frequency. Methods of research - the general principles of the theory of modern semi-conductor converters, methods of the theory of electric circuits, decomposition in number Fourier and switching functions, methods of the decision of the differential and transcendental equations, methods of mathematical and computer modeling for an experimental research of the offered decisions. Existing decisions on use of a principle of asymmetry in cascade and hybrid multilevel converters of frequency at a different voltage of power supplies of inverters and their different loading do not provide parameters of quality of an output voltage and an input current to the standard at reduction of losses of energy by switching of switches. It is established, that simultaneous modulation of the reference voltage by the third and ninth harmonics at use PWM and quantization on a level allows to improve harmonious structure of a output voltage, to exclude circulation of energy between inverters, to redistribute loading inverters according to frequency rate of voltage, at reduction of quantity of switching of switches and losses of energy. Results of work are used in educational process in rates "Power electronics", "Electric drive". The forecast of the assumption concerning development of object of research - improvement of principles of control by the converter to apply the asynchronous electric drive.
