The models concerned take into account complicated interaction between heat transfer, mass transfer, electromagnetic processes and processes of magnetic hydrodynamics in plasma, metal and anode layer. Numerical techniques for solving problems involved and appropriate software were developed. The experiments and computer modeling for study of electrode melting and electrode droplet transfer were carried out. Transport and thermodynamic properties of multicomponent welding arc plasma for wide temperature range and excessive pressure were determined. The evaporation characteristics of one-component and binary alloys during convective regimes were calculated. The mechanism of spatter formation during pulse MIG welding with AlMg wire was theoretically explained. New structures of electrode systems were developed and optimal technical parameters of plasmatrons with positive and reversed polarity were established. The mechanisms of change of structure composition, physicochemical and physical-mechanical properties of various materials during plasma treatment one was determined. The basic technological factors providing proper physic-mechanical properties of coatings were established. The samples of plasma-arc equipment for metal treatment were developed.
