The object of the research - annalistic archaeological hillfort Chornobyl and archaeological materials, which were discovered during its excavations in 2003-2008. The aim of the research - introduction to the scientific turnover of the results of archaeological studies of the medieval hillfort Chornobyl obtained during 2003-2008. Methods - analysis and generalization of field materials obtained during archaeological researches of the medieval Chornobyl in 2003-2008. From 2003 to 2008 the Archaeology Department of DNVP "CZKS" (State Scientific and Production Enterprise "Centre for Cultural Heritage Protection") later - the Archaeology and Study of Monuments Sector of DNCZKSTK (State Scientific Centre for Cultural Heritage Protection from Technogenic Catastrophes) performed excavations of the medieval Chornobyl within the area of about 200 sq.m. As a result of fieldworks a significant quantity of archaeological material was received, including more than 20 000 of ceramic fragments, as well as fragments of west-ruthenian ceramics, 953 pieces of glass bracelets, 24 fragments of glass-ware, 20 glass beads, 47 bone articles, 300 metal products, 8 crosses and 31 spindle whorls from Ovruch pyrophyllite, a considerable amount of osteological material that were obtained during fieldworks. The scientific inventory of collected items was completed. In 2007, a topometric survey of the area including the cape (on which the hillfort is situated) was held. Results of the research will be used in the release of the multi-author book.
