Purpose of the work is conduction of the researches for the state and prospects of manufacturing and application of fire extinguishing substances, fire engineering, and fire-fighting technologies as well as emergency and rescue services in Ukraine. Methods of the research are analytical (analyzing of international and domestic experience in the sphere of ensuring of fire safety and fulfillment of operative and rescue actions as well as normative documentation, exploitation instructions and informational prospects, handbooks, reference books, and other literary sources, accompaniment of the development and introduction into practice of application of some new environmentally sound fire extinguishing substances, technical fire-fighting means, and technologies of their application at the time of conduction of fire and rescue actions) and experimental one (carrying out of the researches of some specimens of fire engineering). Results of the work are information as to up-to-date state and prospects of the manufacturing and application of fire extinguishing substances, fire engineering, and fire extinguishing technologies as well as notes to 9 draft normative documents, conclusions concerning purposefulness of application of some new creations, and 14 theses of the reports as well an article published in a number of specialized editions.
