A research purpose is an analysis and development of the cartographic providing of maintainance of PIKS of regions of Ukraine (on the example of the Kharkiv area). The task of this research is development of theory of mapping of PIKS (in particular ground of maintenance, directions, scales, cartographic sources, depicting facilities, norms of generalizacii, structure and maintenance of separate complex maps, series of maps and atlases and method of their planning and conclusion of GIS-technologies facilities, and others like that).
