In the course of the project were developed optimized conditions for bacterial expression of human cytokine EMAP II in preparative quantities as a new biotechnological product. Means of computer simulation was created a molecular model of the interaction of cytokine EMAP II receptor integrins 5 3, and suggested approaches to enhance its anti-angiogenic action directed by changes in amino acid residues in the center of the binding to the receptor. At the time the project was to investigate the influence of drugs received EMAP II on growth and morphology of malignant tumors on the model of transplanted human prostate adenocarcinoma fragments in mice. These results will form the basis for the creation of domestic production technology of genetic engineering of new drugs based on the antitumor effect of cytokine EMAP II.
