The thermo-optical qualities of polyurethane active media are studied. It is established that the polyurethane media have negative thermo-optical coefficient significant in the value, which makes to their with those subjected thermo-optical distortions. The effect of the induced birefringence in the polyurethane matrices, which appears under the conditions for asymmetrical pumping is discovered. It is established that in this case the polyurethane dye laser with the broadband isotropic resonator emits polarized radiation.
