The most aggressive are the precipitation of enriched acidic components of natural origin (carbon dioxide and organic acids) and anthropogenic (sulfur and nitrogen). As a result, damage analysis of products from decorative stone monuments in the northern part of Ukraine, compiled a list of typical defects: formation of additional relief from selective weathering of less stable mineral phases, pitting on the surface of the product, loss of planar polishing by weathering, changing the original color of the rock, iron accumulation, dense deposits of iron oxides and hydroxides, carbonate efflorescence, lichen colonies, thermal deformation of the cladding, planar exfoliation, granulation, thermal cracks and crevices.
