Objective: to study the influence processing with polymer-abrasive (PA) tools on the surface layer of the studied materials, choose the rational mode of processing, to develop recommendations for handling the tool, develop a method of modeling the interaction of a "tool-sample" with the help of the finite element method and computer package ANSYS ( LS DYNA). Methods: numerical methods - to determine the stress-strain state of the sample in the interaction its surface with the elastic fibers, methods of mechanical engineering - to study residual stresses and the parameters of the surface layer of the samples.
