The method allows to reduce metal capacity of iron separators by 75-95% and to reduce power consumption by 60-65%. Iron separator is a system consisting of permanent magnets arranged in rectangular coils and device of detecting the presence of ferromagnetic materials in the flow of a non-magnetic agent. A method for determining the ponderomotive force, which is generated by the iron separator magnet system, and this force dependence on the parameters of the permanent magnets and the pulsed current in the coils, is elaborated. The principle of construction of the magnetic system ferromodulating magnetically sensitive elements and its method of calculation is proposed. The above theoretical and experimental research allow to engineer the magnetic systems of the next generation of iron separators.
