The results obtained for the glasses of 70GeS2-10In2S3-20CsBr system have revealed that the defect-related lifetime ?2 and corresponding intensity I2 have the extreme values (minimum ?2 and maximum I2) for the composition with 0.38 mol% optimal Tm2S3 doping concentration at which the glass exhibited an enhanced luminescence peaking at 1480 nm. On the basis of ?2-R correlation for radius of voids R < 5 A, the size of voids in a spherical approximation has been estimated to be R = 2.5 A or V = 65 A3 65 A3 for this alloy with 0.38 mol% Tm2S3. By using Doppler broadening of annihilation line, on the basis of the results obtained of Doppler S vs W parameters for the glasses of 60GeS2-20Ga2S3-20CsCl (GGS-CsCl) compared to the glasses of 70GeS2-10In2S3-20CsBr (GIS-CsBr) it is established that the glasses of GIS-CsBr system are characterized by lower defective structure than the glasses of GGS-CsCl system. This conclusion is important from the practical viewpoint for application of the investigated chalcohalide glasses in chalcogenide photonics.
