The method of coil shape calculating for a metal forming is founded. This coil should generate given pulse magnetic field distribution and appropriated electrody-namics' forces distribution on boundary surface. The part of the coil shape, which is turned to boundary, divided on central part and peripheral parts. The first of them is computed by the solving of the task of field continuation from boundary surface. The problem of determination peripheral parts is formulated as one parameter optimization task. The goal function is determined by the sum of relative distortions between given and acquired distributions.
