The study of problems of the Ukrainian folk pedagogy is a key task of the Ukrainian ethnopedagogy. Achievements pedagogical culture of our people is evidence that the Ukrainian accumulated during centuries of practice a huge amount of valuable psychological and pedagogical knowledge of a child, a system of principles, methods and tools aimed at education of future generations. Complex social and cultural development of the Ukrainian people negatively affected the formation of ethnic identity, axiological system of national educational ideal and more. Because this was a violation of the natural evolution of the national pedagogical traditions and customs. Scientific understanding of folk pedagogy as a component of national culture and its interaction with other socio-cultural factors may serve as an effective source of national identity of Ukrainians and overcome the crisis in the cultural and psychological sphere, and hence the socio-political and socio-economic lives.
