There were developed the methods to prepare raw-material for growing crystals. There was studied the influence of conditions (temperature gradients) and parameters (growing and rotation speed) of growing on the crystals quality and the growing process stability. Grounding on the studies there was developed the process procedure of crystals growing from halides of AE and RE metals, diameter from 20 to 50 mm. There were studied the conditions of mechanical processing of the crystals, and were obtained the optimal means of crystals rounding, smoothing and polishing.
