An aim of the project - definition of physicochemical criteria for selection of supports of natural origin in order to obtain an effective catalyst for carbon monoxide miti-gation for equipment of respiratory protection devices. To attain the target and to perform the assigned tasks of the project, the following research methods were used: X-ray phase analysis, FTIR spectroscopy, DTA and DTG, TPD of ammonia, thermal desorption of argon, elemental analysis, adsorption-desorption of metal ions and water vapour, kinetic studies of catalytic carbon monoxide oxidation with oxygen. Basing on the results of research, some correlations between physicochemical properties of the supports and the catalytic activity of surface Pd(II)-Cu(II) com-plexes have been found. It has been determined that the main criteria for selection of supports are: their structure, nSi/nAl ratio, their chemical and phase composi-tion, the phase ratio and the crystallinity of their samples, protolytic properties of their surface, the total content and the strength of their acid sites, their adsorption-desorption performance towards both metal ions and water vapour, topographic places of Mn+ location and an ability of the former to coordinate some ligands, the possibility of gaseous molecules to access the places of Mn+ location, thermo-dynamic activity of water adsorbed on the supports. Beside the definition of criteria for selection of supports, it has been found that the most promising is Pd(II)-Cu(II) catalyst on hydrothermal treated tripoli (KNO-CO/MT). Long-term tests of KNO-CO/MT in laboratory and under industrial con-ditions show that its protective time exceeds 100 hours. Technical conditions TU U 28.2-02071091-004:2012 "KNO-CO/MT catalyst for low-temperature carbon(II) oxide oxidation" have been executed and registered. Product Description popup.authors Кіосе Т.О.
