The subject of study: to justify the ways and offer technical solutions for replacement of the fresh water that is used on technology and energy needs,by treated wastewater to address water scarcity and pollution of water sources. Methods: Analysis and systematization of scientific and theoretical data experimental testing of innovative technological schemes of treatment and post-treatment industrial wastewater. The main results: Water-resource potential of the main water bodies of Ukraine is estimated, data on the use of water resources in Ukraine's leading economic sectors and major river basins are assembled and systematized, the ways of modern use of process water in Ukraine and information regarding technological schemes purification of biologically treated wastewater are analyzed. The technological scheme of advanced cleaning and reuse of wastewater knitting, hosiery, silk production are developed. The adsorption technology advanced treatment of biologically treated wastewater and bio-sorptional technology of industrial wastewater from the most characteristic of pollution - surface-active agents are proposed and experimentally verified. It can be used in the development of technical solutions for the elimination of water scarcity and pollution of water sources.
