Purpose - to develop educational and practical recommendations for the reorganization of light industry by creating a new architecture based on models of sustainable economic development. Methods - systemic, structural and logical, correlation and regression, analysis and graphical modeling, expert ratings, groupings, functional and cost. As a result of research on the topic: an assessment of the economic potential of the industry in the context of sustainable development, analyzed the performance of the light industry of Ukraine in the context of sustainable development, the recommendations to establish mutually beneficial economic ties between enterprises of light industry and other economic entities; propose a conceptual model transition to a new architecture of Light Industry of Ukraine, which will innovative, human and social development of light industry, the methodical provisions and methodology for assessing the human capital of the company; presents an innovative approach to the study of industrial enterprises operating strategy based simulation of its activities, provided methodology for evaluating the effectiveness management of ecologically development of light industry. Results of research introduced at the development and improvement of state programs, short-term and long-term planning of the industry, on the light industry enterprises of Ukraine (reference 9 companies) and the educational process Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design at Department of Economics and Business.
