Purpose of the study - psycho-pedagogical foundations, content, structure, methodology and interactive learning technologies geography in the 6 th and 7 th grade. The aim - to justify theoretically and experimentally verify the updated content of geographic education in the elementary school and the methods of its study.For the purpose of investigation the following tasks: 1. Develop a concept of the school geographical education in elementary school. 2. Refresh content of textbooks on geography for 6 th and 7 th grades based on conceptual approaches on the level of disclosure of geographic phenomena and processes (global, regional, local) and the economy, ecology and socialization training. 3. Identify and theoretical basis for psychological and methodological basis of selection, structuring and implementation of training content of physical geography in elementary school. 4. Develop principles of interactive learning geography in the 7th grade. 5. Develop and implement in the educational process of psychological principles and methods of interactive teaching geography in elementary school. Methods: theory - the study of psychological, educational, philosophical, sociological, geographical literature, retrospective analysis of teaching experience and practice of teaching geography in secondary schools: analytical - pedagogical experiment - konstatuvalnyy, molded-tion, the study and synthesis of best teaching practices, the use of methods of statistics; empirical: - Observations, interviews with teachers and students, interviews; - A survey of teachers and students, studying school records.
