Application of potassium channels blocker 4-aminopyridine (0,2 mM) reduced potassium current amplitude in the retinal neurons. The mean value of 4-aminopyridine-sensitive current was equal to 0,40 ± 0,09 nА (n = 6), this was 25% from the control current (1,61 ± 0,22 nA, n = 6). The 4-aminopyridine-sensitive current characteristics (activation threshold, fast activation and deactivation, slow inactivation) were similar to Kv3.1/Kv3.2 potassium currents described in the literature. The data obtained suggest that 4-aminopyridine-sensitive current plays a key role in high frequency firing generation in the rat retinal ganglion cells. We assume that the 4-aminopyridine-sensitive current is mediated by Kv3.1/Kv3.2 conductance Product Description popup.authors Веселовська З.Ф. Маслов В.Ю. popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
