Purpose of the study - an optimization of a fusion reactor operation scenario using advanced theoretical models of a plasma particle and energy balance. Research methods - it is used a wide range of theoretical methods, including nonlinear interpolation, methods of a numerical integration and integration of differential equations. As a result of the research the analytical model of a tokamak axisymmetric magnetic field with noncircular cross section of magnetic surfaces has been improved. The parameters of the model for existing tokamaks have been determined. Examples of its usage for the calculation of magnetic configuration of toroidal plasma traps are presented. The new software module to account for the geometry of the magnetic configuration of real tokamaks and projects of fusion reactors has been developed. Moreover the effect of the magnetic field ripples on the motion of charged fusion products has been studied. The phase portraits of oscillations of the trapped particle reflection points near ripple resonances in JET setup have been plotted. The obtained results can be used to reduce losses of energetic particles from toroidal magnetic plasma traps. The main results of the research were presented and discussed at the International School of Young Scientists on Nuclear Physics and Energy and the International Ukrainian-Japanese conference. Some results of the study were published in leading specialized journals on plasma physics and controlled fusion.
