Objective: Determination of hydrocarbon potential of different genetic types of the Lower Permian , Lower Bashkirian , Lower Carboniferous and Upper Devonian carbonate reservoirs ( traps, reservoirs) based on existing geological and geophysical, lithological and mineralogical and geochemical data are summarized to date study tectonic - geodynamic and paleogeographic patterns of facial - carbonate accumulation and formation ryfo promising areas ( habitats ) oil gas accumulation with the definition of predictive retrieval of objects in different genetic types of carbonate traps. Research Methods : an integrated geological and geophysical , lithofacies , mineralogical and petrographic , isotopic -geochemical study of carbonate- rock bodies. The research found widespread associated with carbonate- breed different bodies morphogenetic types of hydrocarbon traps in the Dnieper -Donets Basin and Donbas. With Paleozoic carbonate formations and, above all, with reef -carbonate complexes associated significant hydrocarbon potential . In the Dnieper-Donets Basin and the northern fringes of Donbass established not only different in size, shape , filtration- capacitive parameters organogenic build, but the barrier reefs and carbonate megaаtoll shafts, which should be linked to major areas and habitats oil gas accumulation.
