The proposed approach allows to synthesize polymer - mineral nanocomposite materials , physical properties of which are defined by the size and nature of the mineral core and the nature and thickness of the polymer shell , which is formed on the surface of the mineral filler . The regularities of the chemical modification of the surface properties allow to adjust the materials depending on a practical problem . The processes of formation of grafted layers on the surface of zirconia, their structure and physico- chemical properties were studied and technique was developed. On the basis of mineral - polymer composite pastes of nanoparticles were created for the regeneration of bone defects . Conducted in vivo studies have shown the promise of the use of these pastes and the developed polymer - mineral nanocomposites to create advanced materials for guided bone regeneration.
