Research aim – to establish the main regularities of electrochemical synthesis of composite electrodeposits on the base of iron; to ascertain the influence of electrolysis conditions on the functional properties of the Fe + ZrO2 composite coatings obtained. Research method – voltammetry, potentiometry, gravimetry, redox titration, scanning electron microscopy, sedimentation analysis of dispersibility, measurement of coatings microhardness. The main regularities of the electrochemical synthesis of composite iron electrodeposit with the insertion of zirconia nano-particles stabilized by 3% (mol) Y2O3 from methanesulfonate electrolyte were investigated. The kinetics of composite coatings electrodeposition was shown to obey adequately the Guglielmi's model. The main kinetic parameters of metal and oxide dispersed phase co-deposition were calculated. The effect of the ZrO2 particles incorporation on the microhardness of deposits obtained was studied.
