The theory of scattering of quantum excitations on a topological defect of the vortex type is constructed. We show that a propagation of quantum excitations can be controlled by altering the value of the vortex flux placed on their way. We show that polarization of the vacuum outside of the topological defect with gauge flux results in the appearance of a macroscopic force directed at the increase of the transverse size of a topological defect. The geometrical approaches in the investigation of quantum integrable models are developed.
