Research purpose is complex analysis of texts of modern textbooks on Ukrainian language, directed on examination of volume and semantic filling of information on history in Ukrainian studies content of the probed sources. Research methods are conceptual principles of monitoring of quality of the textbooks, examination of necessary components of teaching and learning set of textbooks which are used in educational process of secondary educational establishments. Integrative analysis of teaching and learning set of textbooks on Ukrainian language in the context of Ukrainian studies provides the integral picture of the research. Research results will enable to define rational correlation of communicative and actually linguistic line in textbooks, and also to outline according to the State Standard of base and complete secondary education an optimum volume and semantic filling of information on history in teaching and learning set of textbooks on Ukrainian language, taking into account here the conceptual going near the factor of the following of Ukrainian language study from initial to the middle and senior classes. The novelty of the textbooks which are created as a result of research project will consist in the observance of close Ukrainian studies thematic lines. The level of introduction. The results of the research project are represented in 112 publications, in 159 reports at scientific conferences. During execution of the research project there were prepared "Conception of creation of textbooks "Ukrainian language for the 5th -9th forms of secondary educational establishments" (author Yermolenko S.Ya., textbook "Ukrainian language. The 5th form" (S.Ya. Yermolenko, V.T. Sycheva) and work-book on coherent speech for the 5th form of secondary educational establishments "Speech and Conversation". The teaching and learning set of textbooks is recommended by Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to the use in educational process of secondary educational establishments of Ukraine. The competitiveness of the research project is confirmed with the results of approbation of textbooks on Ukrainian language for 5-11 forms of secondary educational establishments during 2005 - 2013.
