Structurally complex will consist with defectoscope (UD4-76) and portable computer (notebook). The modified computer expert software for assessment of workability and further safe operation of defective pipelines was developed. It based on special diagram in coordinates "critical values of crack-like defects depths - defect shape", which is constructed on the criteria of fracture mechanics of materials and contains three characteristic zones, namely: zone of safe operation; zone of operation under predicted growth of defects and zone of catastrophic failure risk.
