Objective - on the basis of experimental and rheological processes in the surface contact interaction, fatigue processes, stress corrosion cracking to develop scientific foundations and methods of metals long-term strength improvement based on the implementation of protective substructural phenomena of dissipative nature. Methods of investigation: microdeformations, fretting wear , method of resonant flexural vibrations , method of indenter continuous indentation. Equipment: installation МФК -1, device Talyscan, installations for measuring of metals internal friction, microplasticity, for testing of corrosion, cracking, pulsator MИР -8, УРМ -2000. Theoretical and practical results: the factors that control fretting fatigue are obtained; the changes of steel microplasticity under external factors are established; the influence of fretting corrosion on the steel stress corrosion cracking manifestation is discovered; rheological approaches to metals long-term strength on the basis of material relaxation ability manifestation are revealed. As a result of the project fulfilment, conducting a series of theoretical and experimental researches the rheological principles of metals long-term strength increase under conditions of dynamic contact of conjugated surfaces are established. Fretting fatigue strength increases by 10 % with copper plated steel 40ХНМА , 8% with anoding alloy Д16T , 7 % for phosphating steel 40ХНMA . Blast rate processing increases limited rate of endurance for steels 30ХГСА and 40ХНMA twice and fretting fatigue durability for steel 45 - 7 times, for steels 30ХГСА and 40ХНMA - 15 times .
